Summer Adventures!

Well, since my last post on June 28 so much has happened! I've had a few summer adventures that are making this summer such fun one, and I know there's many more to come! To start off life "post-port" I went to the Stadium of Fire with my friend Mikell. Performing this was Brad Paisley, which was absolutely amazing! I love country and Brad Paisley is one of my favorites. We had a lot of fun at the concert, although the traffic after wasn't nearly as fun but it was still a great night.
To celebrate the 4th of July we went up to Salt Lake to swim at my Aunt Lisa's. We spent the day swimming and talking and then had a BBQ to finish off the night. We thought we would go to Park City but on our way the weather took a turn for the worse so we skipped over Park City. Our good family friend the Yarro family were having a party at their cabin up in Wallsburg so we went there and joined in on the fun. Corbin tried to tame an emu which was quite entertaining. There was a dance party and fireworks. It was a fun 4th, even without Bronson.
The most recent adventure was our family vacation to California! It was such a fun trip spent at the Emerald Bay Beach and in Laguna. I even got to see the Millar family and my bestest Hannah Millar even joined the adventure. We spent a lot of time walking Laguna Main, eating at Wahoo's Fish Tacos, hanging out at Downtown Disney, and even got to watch Daryl play in the Futsal National Championship. Even though they lost we still had a great trip down there. Besides spending some time at the beach, the highlight was we went and saw Harry Potter 7 part 2! I would definitely say I am a Harry Potter fan. I've read each book at least 4 times so I was so excited to see this last chapter to the movies. Its such a great movie! If you haven't seen it I advise you go and see it. Even Steve, who usually sleeps in Harry Potter movies, stayed awake till the end. It was such a fun trip i really didn't want it to end.

Now for the rest of summer is focused on basketball. Season is just around the corner and I'm hoping that I'll be healthy and in the right condition to play this year. Its our first year in the West Coast Conference so I'm really excited to play new teams. Our pre season is pretty tough this year as well! We play Duke, Wisconsin, Kansas State, our rivals Utah, and some other very good teams. My first doctors appointment is in a few weeks, I'll let you all know how it goes. Hopefully everything is staying small and the little cancer cells are staying inactive. Have a fun and safe summer everyone!

Love,
Alexis
